According to the Bible, laughter can be like "medicine." Therefore, each free monthly issue of the Updates and Insights "Good News" Letter will also contain a true story from the humorous side of life as a Firefighter. People have often told me that I should have written a book about some of the strange and often hilarious real-life incidents and practical jokes that I encountered as a Firefighter during my 29 years with the City of Phoenix Fire Department. My fellow colleagues all have similar tales to tell as well and I will be sharing some of their experiences too. (The names may be changed to protect the "innocent" in these stories but they will all provide an inside glimpse into the zany part of life at the fire station.)
